Bid templates in Brax are an easy way to apply bid modifications in bulk. This is a great way to start new campaigns on the right foot. This is also a great way to spruce up old campaigns which may be falling behind. This works by copying from an existing campaign or an excel sheet to create a new template. You can apply this template to any number of campaigns!
Creating Bid Templates
Let's start by clicking "Bid Templates" in the sidebar. Hit the "New Template" button and choose your network. Use a name that helps you remember what this template is for. Next, decide if you'll be importing from an existing campaign, or from a file.
From a campaign:
This is as simple as choosing a marketer & campaign to use as a template. Note that we only show campaigns with existing bidmods. If a campaign has many modifications, it may take a moment to process them all.
From a file:
We recommended starting from a campaign first. Once that's done, you can export any existing template to use the correct formatting in future uploads. The 3 required columns to make a match are "Domain", "Bid", and "Vendor Publisher". Domain is the URL, such as "xyz.com". The bid is the value you would like to set, and the Vendor Publisher is the publisher ID.
Our system will process these into a table and display it below. You can check entries and make adjustments before submitting. If everything looks good, hit "Save".
Applying a Bid Template
To apply a template, click "Apply" from he main bid templates page. Next, select which campaigns you'd like to apply it to. Many campaigns at once may take a while to process, so consider applying templates in batches. Once you've chosen how to apply your template, we'll create a job for this. (Like you would see when applying a rule)
You can click into the job ID to check the status of your applied template. Sort by status and watch as each line changes from pending to success!
Manging Bid Templates
Now that you've created and applied a template, you can view them on the "Targeting lists" page. Here you'll see all the lists you've created, as well as some options to explore. Clicking a template name will display what's on it. You can also edit, export, duplicate, and delete lists on this page.
